The Creation Museum, Kentucky

The Creation Museum is located near Petersburg, Kentucky, and presents an account of the origins of the universe, all life within, and man’s early history according to a young earth creationist’s perspective to the book of Genesis.

According to their website, the Creation Museum “brings the pages of the Bible to life, casting its characters and animals in dynamic form and placing them in familiar settings“.

Since opening to the public on May 28, 2007, it has been on the receiving end of much criticism by many members of the scientific, educational and Christian community.

Its exhibits reject biological evolution and state that the world and all living things upon it were created just 6,000 years ago over a 6 day period.

Rejecting scientific evidence, many of their exhibits promote the young earth creationists’ claims of humans and dinosaurs coexisting, and even show that dinosaurs were on Noah’s Ark!

Belgium is well-known across the world for its chocolate, however, did you know that many believe Potato Fries (Or French fries as they are also known as) originally started in Belgium?

It may come as no surprise that Belgium is home to the words only potato fry museum!

The Friet Museum was created by the Cédric and Eddy Van Belle families, who also started the Belgian Chocolate Museum, Choco-Story, and the Domestic Lighting Museum.

This museum is housed in a building known as the “Saaihalle”, which dates back from the year 1399, and is the oldest surviving building in Bruges!

The Museum is very educational, teaching its visitors all the secrets of making good fries.

The ground floor provides great information about the history of potatoes, dating back 10,000 years ago in Peru.

On the first floor you can find out about the history of fries, and how they came to Belgium.

And of course, no visit to a food museum would be complete without sampling the goods.

The basement is full of different fries that you can try out.
