Iceland’s Prime Minister joined thousands of women on strike to protest gender inequality.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This was the seventh Kvennafrí, or “Women’s Day Off,” with the first strike held on this day in 1975. Icelandic PM Katrín Jakobsdóttir joined the strike this time, putting off her ministerial duties for the day in solidarity with Iceland’s women.
