Its name literally means &lsquo;little flowering plant&rsquo;.\n</p><p>The leaf on top of its head is longer than its body.\n</p><p>It is an exceptional body part, as it can spawn vines, create leaves, secrete calming and healing odors and can check the humidity and temperature around it.\n</p><p>While basking in the sun, it also uses photosynthesis to feed itself.\n</p><p>Chikorita evolves into Bayleaf. Bayleaf, in turn, evolves into Meganium.\n</p><p>Chikorita was the second Pok\u00e9mon that Ash caught during his journeys.\n</p><p>It had great affection for Ash and refused to swap in battle for Ash&rsquo;s constant companion, <a title='\"Pikachu' facts href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/www.factstoryhub.com%5C/pokemon-25-pikachu-facts%5C/%5C%22">Pikachu.\n<p>It was also Ash&rsquo;s first confirmed female Pok\u00e9mon.\n</p><h2>Cyndaquill\n</h2><p>Cyndaquill is the first fire starter. It is classed as a fire-mouse.\n</p><p>Its name literally means &lsquo;cinder needles&rsquo; or &lsquo;cinder hairs&rsquo;.\n</p><p>It has bluish fur and a white underbelly.\n</p><p>When defending itself, flames sprout along its back.\n</p><p>It can also use smoke to obscure itself from enemies.\n</p><p>Cyndaquill evolves into Quilava. Quilava, in turn, evolves Typhlosion.\n</p><p>Cyndaquill was the third Pok\u00e9mon that Ash caught.\n</p><p>It was lazy, often tired and weak.\n</p><p>However, when it evolved into Quilava it was calm, serious and stoic.\n</p><p>It was also Ash&rsquo;s first fire type Pok\u00e9mon that had no previous trainers.\n</p><h2>Totodile\n</h2><p>Totodile is the first water starter. It is classed as a &lsquo;big-jaw&rsquo; Pok\u00e9mon.\n</p><p>Its name literally means &lsquo;child of a <a title='\"Alligators' vs crocodiles: the differences href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/www.factstoryhub.com%5C/differences-between-alligators-crocodiles%5C/%5C%22">crocodile&lsquo;.\n<p>It has incredibly sharp <a title='\"Facts' about your teeth href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/www.factstoryhub.com%5C/10-crazy-teeth-facts%5C/%5C%22">teeth that can also expel icy bites.\n<p>While incredibly tough, it also has a playful attitude, often nipping trainers in their excitement.\n</p><p>Totodile evolves into Croconaw.
